120kg Dynamic Drawer Capacity: Every single internal drawer across our premium range is explicitly rated and engineered to carry up to 120kg of evenly distributed weight.

100kg Floor Top Surface Capacity: The top surfaces, including both our roller floors and fixed floors, are rated to safely support up to 100kg of weight evenly spread across the top framework.

ADR 42/03 Crash-Test Certified: Our structural builds are backed by physical crash testing compliant with Australian Design Rules (ADR 42/03 General Safety Requirements) 4WD Interiors. When installed to our specifications, our Drawer Systems will securely retain up to 200kg of total cargo load in a severe collision 4WD Interiors, and our Half Cargo Barriers will safely restrain up to 60kg of load secured behind it.

DIY Installation Welcome: Unlike other brands that penalise you for home installation, our warranties apply whether your system is fitted by an Authorised Stockist, Preferred Fitter or via DIY—provided it is fitted in strict accordance with our step-by-step guides to preserve its ADR crash-test integrity, and no other drilling or modifications have been done.

All warranties outlined below apply to private, recreational use. Items used for commercial, fleet, or trade purposes are subject to reduced warranty parameters as specified.
1. 4WD Interiors "HD" Drawer Systems (Steel)

Recreational Use: Lifetime Structural Warranty. We provide an explicit, non-transferable Lifetime Warranty to the original purchaser that the core structural steel framework, heavy-duty roller-bearing drawer slides, and structural housings will remain free from manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship.

Commercial, Fleet & Trade Use: 3-Year Heavy-Duty Fleet Warranty. While major competitors drop their warranties to 12 months under commercial conditions, 4WD Interiors extends a full 3-Year Warranty across all fleet, mining, and trade installations, covering structural failure under continuous daily operational use.
2. 4WD Interiors "EasyLoad" Drawer Systems (Aluminium)

Recreational Use: 5-Year Manufacturer Warranty against defects in materials and workmanship from your date of purchase.

Commercial, Fleet & Trade Use: Limited strictly to a 1-Year Commercial Warranty under trade, fleet, or daily operational conditions.
3. Consoles, Door Pockets & Drawer Accessories

Roof Consoles, Door Pockets, Top Shelves, Half Cargo Barriers, Rear Rack and Dividers, Cargo Dividers: 3-Year Manufacturer Warranty.
4. Third-Party Brands & Supplier Lead Times

Third-Party Brands: Premium items from external brands listed on our website (such as, RSI SmartCap, ARB, Terrain Tamer, Saber, Hulk etc.) are covered strictly by their respective manufacturer’s warranties.

Claims Support: We will happily assist you in processing a warranty claim with our suppliers, subject to their specific lead times and assessment policies.
🔍 What is Covered vs. Excluded
What is Covered:

Mechanical structural failure of heavy-duty roller-bearing slide runners under rated dynamic loads (up to 120kg per drawer).

Fractures, warping, or structural failure of internal laser-cut frames, structural welds, and vehicle mounting brackets.

Failure of slam-latches, key-locking mechanisms, and internal strike plates under normal operating wear.
Specific Exclusions:

Exceeding Load Limits: Damage caused by loading internal drawers beyond the maximum rated 120kg dynamic capacity or loading top floors beyond 100kg will not be covered by this warranty.

Point-loading damage: dropping heavy, sharp steel items directly onto a single spot rather than evenly distributing the weight across the marine-ply floor surfaces, or other impact may cause damage we are not liable for.

Liquid and Chemicals: this warranty does not cover moisture damage or chemical staining or corrosion. Our timber ply material is water-resistant only, meaning they can handle a drizzle or splash but may be damaged if soaked or wet for prolonged periods.

Installation and Labor Costs: This warranty covers the replacement of the physical product or components only. We are strictly not liable for any third-party installation, removal, de-installation, or re-installation labour costs incurred across Australia, regardless of complex auxiliary gear or local mechanical rates.

In-House Installation Exception: If the product was directly fitted and installed by 4WD Interiors, we will cover the rectification and labour costs (of a labour amount only of the unit itself, excluding additional parts/wiring) to resolve the issue at our workshop.

Cosmetic wear-and-tear: including surface scratches to powder coating, fading of UV-treated marine carpet, or surface oxidation from direct saltwater/beach exposure.

Mods: We appreciate that some users will modify their equipment, however we cannot extend our warranty to products with modifications, custom drilling, or vehicle alterations that compromise the structure or alter the product in any way.
⏱️ Critical Reporting Windows (Transit Damage & Missing Items)
Please inspect all goods immediately upon arrival before signing for delivery.

Transit Damage (24-Hour Window): If your item arrives damaged from transport, you must notify us within 24 hours of receiving the parcel so we can successfully file a transit claim with the carrier.

Faulty, Missing, or Stolen Items (14-Day Window): For any product faults, item shortages, or undelivered/stolen parcels, you must notify us within 14 days of delivery (or within 14 days of the latest estimated delivery date for missing shipments). In line with our Conditions of Sale, products are legally deemed accepted if no issue is reported within this 14-day window.
📦 Return Freight Costs

Major Failures (ACL): If a product has a major defect under the Australian Consumer Law, 4WD Interiors will cover or reimburse the cost of returning the item.

Warranty Assessments: For minor faults or general evaluations, the customer may be required to cover the initial freight costs to return the product to our Melbourne or Cairns workshop. If a manufacturing defect is confirmed upon inspection, these freight costs will be fully reimbursed.

Proof of Purchase: Locate your original sales invoice or wholesale receipt.

We will assess your claim within 48 business hours. If a structural component is found to be defective under normal operating parameters, we will ship out replacement parts or arrange an authorized repair immediately.
⚖️ Australian Consumer Law (ACL) Statement
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. The benefits provided by this express warranty are in addition to other rights and remedies available to you under the law.
